What is Hotstar? It is an over-the-top streaming service, owned by Disney Star and Novi Digital Entertainment. The company is part of The Walt Disney Company. In India, Hotstar is known as Disney+. Hotstar provides Indian subscribers with a vast library of movies, TV shows, and sports. It is available on both PCs and mobile devices. As of April 2018, Hotstar offers a wide selection of movies, TV shows, and sports events.
If you live in the United States or Canada, you can install the Hotstar app on your smart TV. If you live in a country without the rights to Hotstar, you can connect to the US servers using a VPN. After installing the VPN app, switch your Kodi settings to the “unknown sources” section. Search for Disney+ Hotstar. It should appear in the list. Once installed, you must enter your credentials to sign in.
Once the website has verified your account, you can begin streaming. To register for Hotstar, all you need to do is enter your email address, OTP, and other personal information. You will be asked to enter your age and gender. If you have a VISA, you can pay for the service. If you have multiple devices, you can select the “Log out all devices” option. You will be given immediate access to Hotstar once you’ve completed this step.
Hotstar has a global user base, with millions of users and an expanding content library. Disney acquired Hotstar’s parent company in 2019, and will continue to add content to Hotstar. The service is now rebranded as Disney+. While the content will continue to be primarily English-language, Disney+ will have exclusive content from Pixar, Marvel Studios, and National Geographic. While Hotstar will still be free for its Indian users, it is competing with Netflix and Amazon Prime Video in terms of content.
